A central California TV station caught up with Dennis Fisher, optics engineer & cinematographer for FlightLine Films, responsible for tracking Felix Baumgartner from 128,100 ft.
In an interview with KSBY Dennis said, “When he (Felix) exited the capsule everything looked perfect, his jump off the step….when we saw the canopy open on Felix’s parachute we knew it was a success and that he was going to be okay”.
FlightLine Films was tasked with not only bringing incredible images back to earth from the capsule but also tracking Felix mid air from the moment he stepped away from the capsule.
“Being a part of that whole thing was an incredible experience, what do you do now?” Good question, Dennis. At this point the team is busy analyzing data from the last flight, expecting to release final stats very soon.
